In 2010 Ms. Varney launched Creative Energy Management with vision to help independent makers, artists, and craftsman become entrepreneurs by providing services ranging from initial business organization to marketing, development, and growth strategies. Realizing the need for an educational and community-building platform in the Maker space, Kimberly organized The Foundery in 2011. As Executive Director of the Foundery, Ms. Varney is producing the Atlanta Mini Maker Faire 2013 and teaches nonprofit startup topics weekly via The Foundery program Citizen Scholar.
