Judith Ryder (Judy), arts administrator and pianist, was the Director of Cleveland Opera’s well-known education and outreach program, Cleveland Opera on Tour from 1987 to 2007, recipient of numerous awards including the prestigious Ohio Governor’s Award for Arts in Education, annually reaching an average of 80,000 people throughout the Midwest and beyond. In addition to her opera work, Judith was Music Director for acclaimed Cleveland productions, coach and keyboardist for the Robert Page Singers, taught at The Music Settlement and Cleveland Institute of Music, and led choirs at Judson Retirement and Rainey Institute. She is a vocal coach and the pianist with Red Campion vocal ensemble with performances locally and throughout the region. A graduate of Eastman School of Music, Judith is one of a group of founders of the Cleveland Arts Education Consortium (established in 1999-2000), in-residence at Cleveland State University, since 2008. As the Consortium’s Manager, Judith oversees all member activities, community projects and arts advocacy on behalf the Consortium’s membership of more than 100 member organizations.
