Whatever you invest in, you'll get something in return.

The idea of it is funny and captured people's imaginations far more than the how well the box was made.

The interaction with the people was an integral part of the work, the performance.

The more creative you try to be, the more creative you will be.

I kind of abandoned craft, or trying to be good at anything, and I just tried to make work that was engaging and interesting, created by any means possible.

I like to say I haven't sold my soul... merely licensed it.

A doodle... is a fun, quick idea.

Doodle doesn't have to be a drawing; it doesn't have to be just an image. It could just be a noise... t's just playing around with something.

Remember you are here, breathing.

Don't give up. Making and creating is hard work.

First of all, I want to say 'start'... just start

Invite your anxiety into the room. Let it help you write, let it help you create, let it help you think of ideas

I didn't want to face how much that experience had hurt me but sometimes in the things that hurt us, it's also hard to face that there was some beauty there.

You've got to pinpoint what's underneath your creative anxiety.

You're probably going to cry and it's okay... I felt so vulnerable having to write this spiritual memoir, having to write thing that were hard to write about.

I never wanted to write another book or create another project because it was time. I think that's a weird way to come into the creative process.

One of the things I like to do with my pieces is always challenge the notion of space, movement, implied movement... Movement is life.

Bartering is not dead.

Understand what skill does and what it means to work in the outside world... now you're competing with everything else.

If you want it, you have to get it. You cannot rely on anyone else.
