I'm an accomplished marketer with a rich background in storytelling. My career started in Santa Barbara, where I worked at several wineries handling everything from wine club and event planning to distribution and tasting room sales. I moved to Sacramento in 2012 and continued my work in marketing first at Visit California and then with Augustine Agency, where I worked with destination clients like Travel Paso Robles, Visit Conejo, See Siskiyou, and Yosemite Mariposa County. I'm now a freelance writer/marketer with my own company, Carefree Communication. I also started a nonprofit with my husband called Hard Luck Animal Welfare Advocates, which provides medical, foster, and rescue care to the animals at the Stockton Animal Shelter. I'm a children's book author, and my first book "A Shelter Is...A Dog's Journey from Shelter to Home" is coming out November 2024!
