Amy Gordon is a freelance travel writer and copywriter. A graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Amy worked in corporate marketing for several years before branching out on her own as a freelance writer. Her articles have appeared in outlets including The Washington Post, Harper Traveler, BizBash, Where and Time Out, and she has written marketing copy for clients ranging from multinational companies to small-scale non-profits. She loves learning about new places, returning to old favorites, and experiencing the wonder of the world in all its forms.

Originally from New York, Amy lives in Vieques, Puerto Rico, an island that took a direct hit from Hurricane Maria on September 20. She is currently living in Boynton Beach. Since she arrived back in the States, Amy has been dedicated to using her professional network and skills to raise awareness about the island and provide aid that is still desperately needed. She is volunteer member of ViequesLove, a grassroots organization formed the day after the hurricane to help the island recover.
