Hello! I’m Jim Dempsey, the host of the CreativeMornings/New Orleans chapter.

CreativeMornings is a monthly speaker series for the creative community. Each event is free, and includes coffee, breakfast, and a 20 minute talk.

Our chapter was officially approved in early March 2020, about two weeks before the world stopped turning. In July 2020, a dedicated and talented team of volunteers made CreativeMornings/New Orleans a reality…well, technically, a virtual reality, for that first year.

Now the city has reopened, and the the time has come for in person events. We couldn’t be more excited to meet you!

My bud Jared LaReau, a talented local filmmaker and founding chapter membber, made this video as part of our application to start a CreativeMornings chapter here in New Orleans.

The Vision

CreativeMornings/New Orleans was born out of a great love for our city.

We want to create a space where creatives can meet up, hang out, and get motivated. We firmly believe that everyone is creative, that everyone has a creative process, and that everyone can relate on that level.

The Team

Every CreativeMornings event is totally free to attend and is completely run by volunteers. Make sure you you click on ‘About’ at the left of your screen to learn more about who is involved. They’re pretty awesome.

We’re always seeking volunteers to join our community, including:

• Photographers/Videographers to capture the events
• Social Media Masters to expand our community
• Designers to create killer graphics for us
• Morning People to make our community welcome
