Embracing the Creative Journey: From Childhood Dreams to the TEDx Stage presented by Margaux Miller

As a child, my mother - a teacher passionate about inspiring her students - introduced me to TED Talks, sparking a dream in me to one day stand on that red dot. Today, I’ve realized that dream and have had the privilege of speaking and hosting on international stages across the globe.

In this talk, I’ll share my journey from a talkative, energetic kid, to the TEDx stage, exploring the pivotal moments that shaped my path. I’ll also reveal the sometimes tough reality of achieving big goals and inspire ways to enjoy the journey instead of the destination.

Join me as we reflect on how each of our creative journeys - whether in speaking, art, business, or life - can be an evolving adventure filled with meaning and growth.

Meet our Speaker: Margaux Miller

Margaux Miller is a global community builder supporting organizations and member communities in over 140 countries. Margaux excels in leading teams to develop and deliver online programs, events, and initiatives that foster a sense of belonging, engagement, and retention. 

Margaux is an energetic, professional emcee and moderator - gracing major stages such as South Summit, Web Summit, and the WomenTech Global Conference. As a celebrated speaker, Margaux’s insights on community and remote engagement have resonated on stages across the globe, earning her a 2024 TEDx Talk that saw over 30,000 views in the first week of its release.

Our CreativeMornings Global Theme for January 2025: JOURNEY

Our theme for January is JOURNEY. It was chosen by our Muscat chapter in Oman and illustrated by Salim Al Salami. 

As we travel through life, everyone you meet is at a different point in their own unique journey. Some of us know where we’re going. While other paths are full of twists, turns, and obstacles thrown in our way. The trick is to embrace the detours and delays. Because there are no shortcuts on a journey of self-discovery or creative expression. 

Just please remember: you are not traveling alone.
