About this FieldTrip
If youâre feeling uncertain, anxious, or bored by your sketchbook practice â from starting one to maintaining one â this FieldTrip is for you! Together weâll delve into the world of drawing upside down â a joyful, stress-free sketchbook practice using inverted source imagery that promises surprising (and sometimes hilarious) results.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist, an aspiring creative, or somewhere in between, all skill levels are welcome, because a sketchbook practice is for everyone! Bring your favorite drawing tool and your sketchbook.
â¨WHAT TO EXPECT
âď¸ Weâll start by learning about how drawing from upside-down source imagery can help loosen the creative side of our brain and provide an environment that releases the inner critic.âď¸ Then we will do a 5-minute warm-up drawing.
âď¸ After that, we will draw upside down together for 20 to 25 minutes â imagery will be provided but you may also bring your own imagery.
âď¸ Last, everyone will be invited to share their drawings and experience drawing upside down, if theyâd like.
