Additional details

Traditions are often passed down from generation to generation: father to sons, mother to daughters. This is also the case for sashiko, a traditional Japanese embroidery and stitching technique used to reinforce or decorate cloth. On February 17th we will learn the basics of sashiko from Kazue Yoshikawa, who started teaching this uniquely Japanese technique when she was living abroad and who, through teaching sashiko, was able to create a community even during the pandemic.
