William Hazen

William Hazen is a 3rd Generation Bus Operator who began his career in city transit as a Transit Ambassador with IndyGo in the Summer of 2019 prior to the launch of the Red Line. When he is not driving, Will can usually be found riding his bike around Indianapolis. Not only has Will unfortunately been hit by a driver on a ride, but he saw a rider killed by a driver as well. It was these tragic incidents that spurred Will to take action to improve conditions for pedestrians, cyclists, and transit riders in Indianapolis. He has won the ROSE Award and Coach Operator of the Year Award in 2022 for his distribution of lights for cyclists and safety advocacy.
