About the speaker

Wilkine Brutus is an award-winning journalist for WLRN, South Florida's NPR station. He reports from Palm Beach County, producing in-depth local and national stories on current affairs, government accountability, arts and culture.
Wilkine was named 2023 Reporter of the Year by the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists and earned a Murrow Award for his investigative reporting. He’s the founder of Maps & Diaries, a multimedia storytelling platform.
