About the speaker
Walter Jennings received his Bachelor of Architecture along with minors in Physics and Studio Art from the University of Arkansas in 2001. His interest in green and sustainable architecture lead to his LEED accreditation in 2002. Walter began his architectural career working for his father in a small Fayetteville architecture firm that specialized in homes and chapels. Once he graduated, Walter moved to Kansas City, where he worked for Populous Architects. There he worked on several large sports projects including the New England Patriots’ Stadium, the San Diego Padres’ Stadium, and the Dubai Autodrome. After several years in Kansas City, Walter returned to Fayetteville to work with his father. Notable projects from that office include the Anthony Chapel in Hot Springs and the Hunt Chapel in Rogers. Today Walter and his business partner, Lori Santa-Rita, continue to design structures for Garvan Woodland Gardens and Powell Gardens, as well as numerous finely crafted houses.
Walter also volunteers with Northwest Arkansas Task Force 1, one of two State of Arkansas Urban Search and Rescue teams, using his knowledge of structures to help rescue operations.

Getting to enjoy the Fay Jones House comes with a few logistical quirks, so please consider these as you plan your CMFay Friday!
The Fay and Gus Jones House is located on a street with no shoulder and no parking, so please park at Evelyn Hills Shopping Center. From there, it’s a five minute walk to the FGJ House. Be advised that it is an uphill walk. Anyone who needs mobility assistance is welcome to reach out to the CMFay team, and we will provide an alternative option.
We will have breakfast and coffee as usual but there is NO FOOD ALLOWED INSIDE the Fay and Gus Jones House. Please keep all breakfast items outside at all times.
Our RAIN LOCATION is the Fayetteville Public Library, and a decision will be made the day before.
