🌈 Unlearn Capitalism to Unblock Your Creative Flow

Overview 414 Lovely Attendees
Your Host

Nancy Sun

Coach, Actress, Writer at Possible Things.

Brooklyn

I run a bespoke coaching practice that helps creatives create the art, money, and impact they want. My clients include writers, designers, filmmakers, musicians, and visual artists. While working together, they hit such milestones as publishing their first stories, selling their first new media series, and 4x-ing the income earned from their art. I serve artists as a fellow artist. As an actor, I’ve performed on film and TV with Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Thandie Newton, and Peter Sarsgaard. My online writing has been mentioned in The New York Times and I also was a SXSW Interactive award nominee. This in-the-trenches experience sharpens her ability to identify the blind spots, blocks, and resistance predictable in the creative journey. I play big as a stand for others to do the same.

About this FieldTrip

Do you feel like you can’t call yourself an artist? Does your art seem unworthy of time, energy, or investment? Is your creative business struggling because you undercharge or overcommit? Internalized capitalism may be the problem
and this FieldTrip is the solution! Come unlearn one system of oppression that frequently blocks people from experiencing creative (and financial!) flow.

✹WHAT TO EXPECT

✔ Identify the cognitive behavioral cycles that keep you in a creative block

✔ Disrupt these unconscious, automatic patterns by uncovering their capitalist origins

✔ Normalize the experience of being a human in today’s world

✔ And introduce a framework that will transform how you relate to yourself, your creative process, and your creations

So that you can leave feeling lighter, inspired, and unstuck.

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And
” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
