本島豊子 Toyoko Motojima

本島豊子は、日本で革新的な自然染職作家であった故・伊豆藏明彦の作品や生地、哲学を継承する「レムナント・アンド・カンパニー」の創設者です。
レムナント・アンド・カンパニーは、伊豆藏の創作に関連する展覧会、彼の思想や哲学を伝えるユニークな展示やイベント、ワークショップ、国内外での教育活動を企画・運営しています。 「レムナント・アンド・カンパニー」という名称は、芸術家であり探求者であった伊豆藏が残した目に見える芸術作品だけでなく、彼が残した目に見えない「教え」や「世界観」へのオマージュでもあります。
Toyoko Motojima is a co-founder of “Remnant & Co.” which continues the legacy of the late Akihiko Izukura, a renowned Japanese natural dyer and innovative textile craftsman. Remnant & Co. plans and organizes exhibitions related to Izukura’s creations, unique exhibits and events that convey his ideas and philosophy, workshops, and educational activities in Japan and abroad. The name “Remnant & Co.” is a tribute not only to the visible works of art created and left behind by the artist and explorer Izukura, but also to his invisible “teachings” and “worldview” as an inheritor.

Kazuki Fujimoto is a filmmaker whose lens bridges cultures and landscapes. Drawing on his experience as a nature guide in the vast wilderness of Canada, he has crafted cinematic works that celebrate Japan’s unique traditional crafts and culinary heritage. Through his films, Fujimoto invites audiences to see, touch, and feel the depth of Japanese culture, fostering intercultural dialogue and inspiring the next generation. His latest work, ENUNDO -Circles of Motion-, captures the spirit and philosophy of Akihiko Izukura, weaving together art, nature, and human connection.
