“Starting a new book design is similar to open a fridge in someone else’s house and prepare a dish from the ingredients found there.”

The theme Food inspired us to hold a Creative Morning in a garden. Our friends from Prinzessinnengarten, who turned a neglected wasteland into a flourishing urban paradise, invited us to their grove. There Tomas Mrazauskas presented his recent job “Äpfel und Birnen” (Apples And Pears), that he produced recently together with Judith Schalansky. In his eyes “book design is similar to cooking: everyone has the same ingredients, but the results are always different.”
