Anne Boccato

Musician, Time Management Consultant.

New York, NY, USA

Anne Boccato is a vocalist, percussionist, pianist, storyteller, educator and time management consultant born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. Anne has been living in the United States for over 17 years – immersed in the arts scene in New York City, teaching private lessons and performing her own music, as well as collaborating with wonderful musicians. She founded the Asaran Earth Trio out of a desire to dig into her Brazilian heritage through percussion and voice, and was delighted to watch it become a meeting place for vocal and rhythmic traditions from around the world. When she’s not music-ing, she can be found helping folks bust through their time management blocks with curiosity and compassion.

About this FieldTrip

Do you ever ask yourself what you did today, and struggle to find the answer? Or maybe you’re surviving day-to-day, but can’t ever find time for your long-term goals and projects? Does unstructured time give you anxiety in terms of your ability to buckle down and actually be productive? If any of the above frustrations resonate with your experience, this workshop is for you!

In this class I take my years of research into making the freelancer life work for me, and bring it all together into one session so you can be equipped to do the same. Ideal for artists and freelancers who generally have lots of unstructured time on their hands (and now basically everyone because of this quarantine!), this session aims not to cram more “"stuff”“ into your day, rather it is a place to clarify goals and learn to protect the creative time needed to bring them to fruition.

In this workshop, participants will:

    * get to know themselves, their habits, and how to form new ones that stick;
    * get tools to help them discern their values and aspirations, in order to build a compass that guides them to what really matters;
    * learn to set goals, and how to bring them from “wish-list” to reality, weaving priorities into daily life;
    * learn to manage to-do lists in a way that actually gets them checking all the boxes at the end of the day.

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
