Thomas Fields

Thomas Fields started GRIND as a 19-year-old in his garage with an idea and a ton of ambition. With his dreams of going D1 and playing in the NBA got cut short (due to ACL injuries) he decided to build GRIND - a sports technology company designing innovative sports equipment accessible & affordable to all athletes.

As a self-taught mechanical engineer, Thomas dropped out of business school to pursue GRIND full-time. Congratulated into MIT's success initiative and became the youngest board member at TxRx - (specializing in hardware, fabrication, and manufacturing).

Thomas plans to leverage technology through sports and bridge the racial and inequality gap within black and Latinx communities through design-driven methods. He plans to leverage his understanding of hip-hop, sports, and design to touch the hearts of kids around the world.
