Social Media Strategist.
Hello! I’m a corporate trainer, LinkedIn coach, and social media strategist with over 10 years of experience in social media strategy and content management. I started before Snaps were chatted, Instagram had stories, and Tiks were toked, and her current specialties are Instagram and LinkedIn.
I help people level up on LinkedIn, gain clarity, and make more money. I also help organizations turn their employees into LinkedIn superstars who advocate for the company, amplify brand messaging, and attract the best talent.
The LinkedIn GLOW UP is back with the Remix! In this FieldTrip, you’re going to learn how to optimize the top area of your LinkedIn profile: cover photo, profile photo, Headline, and About section, and you’re going to learn about Creator mode. All of these updates will help you attract more clients to your profile.
According to LinkedIn, profiles with a great cover photo and profile photo get more views, but many people don’t leverage either. In addition, the Headline and About sections play a big part in whether or not your profile shows up in a search done by a recruiter, potential client, or someone looking to make connections. Lastly, you’ll learn how Creator mode can potentially help you gain more visibility on the platform and attract clients through content creation.
Are you ready? Let’s glooooowww!
Portia Obeng is a social media strategist with over 10 years of experience in social media strategy and content management. She started before Snaps were chatted, Instagram had stories, and Tiks were toked; and her current specialties are Instagram and LinkedIn.
She works to help people and organizations understand how they can use social media, not let social media use them. She loves letting people know that they don’t have to be on every platform and they don’t have to dance on TikTok to gain brand awareness and generate leads!
Portia loves being Ghanaian, spicy food, dancing, live music, listening to podcasts, experiencing new countries, and reading a good book (preferably on a beautiful beach in Ghana).

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.
Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.
Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!
Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.
We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things. Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.
It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
