京都生まれ、京都在住。 10歳で失明。 文学部哲学科卒業後、鍼灸院を開業し、現在もその鍼灸院を営んでいます。
1998年、98アートパラリンピック長野大会で大賞と銀賞を受賞。 2020年1月、「アトリエみつしま」をオープン。
Born and raised in Kyoto, currently living in the city. Takayuki Matsushima lost his sight when he was 10 years old. After graduating from the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Letters, he opened an acupuncture clinic which he still runs. In 1998, he won the Grand Prize and Silver Prize at the '98 Art Paralympics Nagano. In January 2020, he opened the Atelier Mitsushima.

10月18日（金）9:00、スペース壬生で､アーティストの光島貴之氏をお迎えし、彼がこの問いにどのように答えるのかを伺います。 彼は1999年から他のアーティストとコラボレーションした「触角連画」を制作し、「触覚コラージュ」など新しい表現方法を模索しています。 彼のスタジオギャラリー「アトリエみつしま」は、様々なバリアを克服するための新たなアプローチを実践する拠点となっています。 On Friday, October 18th at 9:00 we will meet the artist Takayuki Mitsushima at Space Mibu and listen to his answers. Since 1999 he has been collaborating with other artists to create ‘tactile linked paintings’ and he has been exploring new methods of expression such as ‘tactile collage’. His studio gallery Atelier Mitsushima is a base for practicing new approaches and overcoming barriers.
