About the speaker
This month we are delighted to welcome Susanna Petternella, a multifaceted teacher in the world of movement, yoga, and holistic wellbeing. Instead of a traditional talk, Susanna will guide us through a gentle yoga and meditation session designed to help us “make our hearts bloom.”
Born and raised in Venice, Susanna’s journey began with artistic gymnastics, later becoming a competitive aerobics athlete and choreographer. After the World Championships in Los Angeles in 2000, she shifted her focus to holistic practices, exploring yoga, Ayurveda, and the discipline of Dainami - a fusion of yoga, pilates, girotonic, and Ayurveda. Over the years, she has deepened her practice through Ashtanga Vinyasa and other yoga traditions, earning her certification with Giovanni Formisano (Yoga Alliance) and continuing her studies with Italian and international teachers. For the past three years, she has also immersed herself in Indian philosophy with Professor Diego Manzi.
Susanna teaches Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga, Antigravity yoga, and Yin yoga, blending technical precision with a warm and mindful approach. She has worked as an Exercise Experience Specialist and live trainer for Virgin Active Italia and is the founder of Yoga Studio Fondamenta in Venice. Her studio is a welcoming space on the water, where yoga is practiced as a path toward awareness, kindness, and inner balance. At Yoga Studio Fondamenta, the practice is never just physical - it’s about listening, flowing, and reconnecting with one’s own rhythm in harmony with the city’s unique atmosphere.
Local partners
We are grateful to Farini for fueling our morning with their delicious offerings. Born from a tradition of a historic Venetian bakery near Rialto, Farini has become a local favorite for fresh pastries, pizzas, and wholesome dishes served all day. Their philosophy is rooted in quality and freshness, with every pizza and pastry crafted on-site using the finest ingredients. The perfect start to a Creative Morning in Venice.
Additional details
Join us for a very special Creative Mornings where we’ll start the day with movement, mindfulness, and connection in one of Venice’s most inspiring spaces - Palazzo Smith. Transformed in 1743 by architect Antonio Visentini, the palazzo has welcomed figures from Canova to Napoleon and today stands as a vibrant cultural hub. Reopened in 2024 as Casa di Art Events, it bridges past and future, offering a home for creativity, vision, and collaboration.
The event begins at 9:00 AM with 30 minutes of networking over tea and conversation. The yoga session will run from 9:30 to 10:00 AM, and we kindly ask all participants to bring their own yoga mats. Registration is mandatory, and due to the intimate setting, availability is limited to 20 spots - so be sure to secure your place early!
