What does it really mean to be a local? You might have lived in a place your whole life, navigating the city without maps, knowing the best spots to eat before they became popular. But being a localite runs deeper than familiarity. It’s about community. It’s about understanding the full spectrum of lives around you, the people, their livelihoods, the spaces and resources you share. And most importantly, it’s about contributing in ways that go beyond yourself. This month, we’re stepping away from our screens and into the neighbourhood. We’ll walk through the communities that exist in plain sight yet often go unnoticed the people, places, and stories that make Chennai truly Chennai. Join us as we explore what it means to be genuinely, meaningfully local.
