We work at what we love, and honest self reflection is the work of self love
It’s easy to recognize and own your best qualities, right? What about your worst? What if they’re one in the same? Stacy VanBlarcom shares her story of the labor that led to love.
About the speaker
Stacy VanBlarcom, APR, is a dancer, arts educator, and accredited public relations professional who has called Buffalo home since 2005. One of the city’s only B-Girls, you can find her balancing on her head, or between roles as Communications Manager at Liazon, President-Elect of the Buffalo Niagara chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, or Teacher and Dancer at Verve Dance Studio. Stacy has more than 25 years of dance training including breaking, house, locking, hip hop, contemporary, ballet, jazz, modern, and tap, and started Bgirling when she discovered Verve in 2008. Through the studio’s Differential Flava Crew, Stacy teaches at schools and cultural organizations throughout Western New York. She is also one of the organizers of Battle @ Buffalo, Verve’s family-friendly urban dance competition held on the last Saturday of every month. In her downtime, Stacy enjoys doing absolutely nothing at all, or anything at all with her nearest and dearest.
