About the speaker
3年ほど前から京都を拠点に映像作家として活動。京都の山間部で茅葺きの全面葺き替えを行う様子を記録し長編ドキュメンタリー映画にまとめた。また藍染めやしめ縄、造園など伝統技術・工芸などを入り口に、別の土地へ足を運ぶことがある。Filmmaker and videographer based in Kyoto. He recently completed a documentary film on an entire thatched roof done by 2M26 architects (speakers for CreativeMornings in June 2023) in the mountains of Kyoto. Soichiro has also filmed outside of Kyoto, documenting traditional techniques and crafts such as indigo dyeing, shimenawa (sacred straw ropes), and landscaping.

8月23日（土）、私たちは再び共同書庫に集い、映像作家の村山宗一郎が現在制作中の作品のドキュメンタリーの一部の上映を行い、彼がどのように移動し撮影をしてきたかを説明する。 確かに、撮影機材は遊牧民のようにあちこちに移動し、さまざまな視点を見せてくれる。 映画を見ているとき（たとえ椅子に座っていたとしても！）私たちは遊牧民のように現実と空想のさまざまな世界を移動しているのだ。 On Saturday, August 23rd we’ll gather again at Kyodo Shoko, where the filmmaker Soichiro Murayama will show us part of a documentary on the production he is currently working on, and how he manages to move and shoot. Indeed, shooting gears move like nomads from one place to another, showing different perspectives. When we are watching films, we are nomads moving to different worlds, real and imaginary (even if we are still sitting on an armchair!)
