About the speaker
Siddappa Dhanagonda is a Folk Artist and an Educator from Bijjaragi, Bijapur. He learnt the artform from his father Bijjaragi Somanna, the renowned dollina pada artist. Siddappa is known for singing and composition of dollina pada songs. He is also recognised for the adaptation of progressive subjects and socio political themes in dollina style. Like his father, Siddappa too has won many awards and recognitions at zilla, state and national level for his accomplishments and preservation of the folk artform.
