From law school and record labels to wellness festivals and Eudēmonia Summit, Sean Hoess shares how real growth unfolds—through creative pivots, unexpected obstacles, and the pursuit of purpose over perfection.

In this insightful CreativeMornings talk, Sean Hoess, founder and CEO of Eudēmonia Summit, traces the unconventional, non-linear path that shaped his career. From leaving a corporate law job, to launching a record label in a scrappy downtown studio, to co-creating Wanderlust’s global wellness movement, Sean reveals how true growth rarely follows a straight line. Drawing on pivotal moments, breakthroughs, setbacks, reinventions, and surprising strokes of luck, he highlights the importance of contrarian thinking, creative collaboration, and building community. Rooted in the Greek idea of eudaimonia, or human flourishing, Sean invites us to rethink what meaningful growth looks like and how purpose, health, and connection can guide both our work and our lives.
