About the speaker
Sarah Weiss is the Executive Director and CEO of the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center and is deeply devoted to its mission of ensuring the lessons of the Holocaust inspire action today. She joined the staff in 2004 after participating in the Americorps program, Public Allies. During her tenure, she has worked to grow the impact of The Center throughout the region and most recently spearheaded the creation of a new museum at Union Terminal. From 2011-2017, Sarah also served as the director of the Jewish Community Relations Council at the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. In this capacity, Sarah worked to build bridges between the Jewish and non-Jewish community as well as coordinate advocacy efforts on behalf of the Jewish community. She is the recipient of the Public Allies Changemaker award, the Weston Avodah award, the FBI’s Director’s Leadership Award and named a YWCA Rising Star. Most recently, she participated in Class 41 of Leadership Cincinnati. She brings a personal connection to her work as the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors.
