About the speaker

Roxanna "Roxy" Hendrickson graduated from the Legal Studies program at Advanced
Technologies Academy ("A-Tech"). She met her future business parter and husband, Logan
Hendrickson while at A-Tech. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with
a degree in Criminal Justice. Roxy also holds a Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd
School of Law and has been a member of the Nevada State Bar since 2016.
While Roxy was pursuing her legal studies, she co-founded of OneFortyThree; a studio
focusing on creating handmade, minimal, functional and original lighting and furniture in
Southern Nevada. Today, OneFortyThree goods live in the homes, hotels and restaurants
of hundreds of customers all over the globe.
OneFortyThree began in 2010 as a blog about a half-built cabin on the outskirts of Las
Vegas that Roxy and her husband were finishing. This was a passion project for Roxy and
her husband Logan. It was also a creative outlet from the grueling demands of her legal
studies. Along the way, Roxy & Logan documented the various projects and fixtures they
created for their new home. Eventually, they began receiving inquiries to recreate some of
the pieces they had created for their home and OneFortyThree's online shop began.
Today, the husband-and-wife team has outgrown their Etsy storefront. It is now a 6-person
force to be reckoned with, bringing their visions to life out of a bonafide workshop in the
beautiful town of Henderson, Nevada. Nearly a decade of sharpening their skills means
they've significantly upped their game. Every piece is still created completely by hand. Each
piece is human-made with care, rooted in the idea of taking a space and making it special
with something truly one of a kind.
In the summer of 2019, Roxy and her husband introduced their latest venture, All For Our
Country. All For Our Country, a nod to the Nevada State Motto, is the official brick-and-
mortar for OneFortyThree's lighting and furniture. It is located within the historic Fergusons
Motel. Roxy & Logan have also gathered items and handmade goods from other makers
and artists from around the country. Every item was selected with care and with the
Southwest in mind. Their goal is to always stay true to bringing products that are handmade
or produced by small shops, just like theirs.
