About the speaker
Rome Ntukogu is a transplant to the United States from Enugu, Nigeria. He arrived in Cincinnati at the age of 16 to attend the University of Cincinnati. “As a city, Cincinnati is near and dear to my heart and integral to my development as an adult in The States.” Following UC, he entered into the service industry, through that into bar consultation, (turning around several local businesses), while playing a lead role in a 10-piece reggae band (Kaan'Shuz). Those relationships and connections allowed him to formulate a series of large scale events/music festivals in the city and around the country, and then the launch of Far-I-Rome in 2008.
Far-I-Rome pivoted to a full scale creative services company in 2013 and since then has worked with companies including Vitamin Water, Uptown Consortium, Chirstian Moerlein, Cincinnati Recreation Commission, Elementz Youth Center and LPK.
Rome’s passion is in connectivity of communities, creating opportunity for companies to access support on the street level.
In his words, “I am a human, trying to build good things with great people, and create responsibly authentic experiences that give rise to conversation, and change along the way.”
