About the speaker
Robyn Farah is the founder of KAT-O, a hardware/technology prototyping company, which hosts #TechTalkCPT. She is the founder of Cape Town's electronics and maker communities Arduino Cape Town and the Modern Alchemists and recently became a partner in Curiosity Campus.
With a background in instrumental and electronic composition, she got into electronics due to her aim is to make everyday objects come to life with sound, allowing the manipulation, interaction and/or processing of sound more accessible to the public. This lead her to complete her Master’s in Sonic Art from the Sonic Arts Research Centre (SARC) at Queen’s University in Belfast.
