Rise: Gwen Dubois & Piet Lambrechts

Gwen Dubois & Piet Lambrechts are the organizers of the event “Make a Mark”.

Make a Mark is a 12-hour design and development marathon that brings together communication professionals who donate their time and talent to social-profit organizations in Brussels. Skilled designers and developers gather to work on projects, with the goal of creating an equitable design for organizations tackling tough community problems. The program seeks to spread hope and empathy through its work.

Gwen Dubois is freelance interior architect and creative activist. She focuses on social projects and clients who are open to unconventional solutions. Her inspiration comes from the everyday and her designs are focused on friendliness and functionality. As a volunteer, she annually organizes Make a Mark Brussels, which improves her design skills and broadens her perspective and network

Piet Lambrechts is the MarCom manager at Muntpunt, a reading and learning hub for curious minds. It is an infopoint for anyone who wants to live, study or work in Brussels; and a second home for those who want to relax quietly, get together, or meet new people.
