About the speaker

Richard Sauerman, aka “The Brand Guy” is a brand and communications strategist who is ranked #3 in the world’s Top 30 Branding Professionals.

Richard worked in global advertising agencies for over 20 years. He was the strategic thinker and brand planner for some of the world’s most iconic brands: Cola-Cola, Microsoft, Vodafone, Campbell’s, Nescafe, Penfolds, Levis, Milo, Harper’s Bazaar and Toyota.

In 2003, he set up his own brand consultancy where he expanded his area of focus beyond marketing into all areas of an organisation. Clients include Vodafone, Macquarie Bank, AMP, QBE, nab, CSIRO, Microsoft, Mortgage Choice and PwC.

Richard now co-runs a Brand Strategy, Design & Communications agency in Sydney, called Brandcraft and delivers keynote talks and personal branding workshops in Australia and abroad.

Richard is also an expert on helping leaders create their personal brand. He has published two books. His first book is called Wake Up Tiger -a wake-up call for people and workers who are dissatisfied with their lives. In 2016 he published his second book ‘Are you Living your Resume or your Eulogy?’ - a collection of stories and anecdotes about personal brand building.

He is a very entertaining and impactful speaker and has previously won the inaugural ‘Battle Of Big Thinking’ competition by convincing a room of 200 peers that marketers and ad agencies had been beaten into mediocrity.
