What does it mean to be punk?

It’s more than just safety pins and mohawks. Punk is a spirit — raw, rebellious, and relentlessly real. It’s that spark that questions the rules, rips up the script, and stitches together something entirely new. It’s DIY zines, out-of-tune guitars, messy poetry, and unapologetic voices echoing from basement shows to city walls.

To be punk is to care deeply — so deeply that you refuse to conform. It’s protest and power. Grit and glitter. An energy that says: I see the cracks, and I’ll turn them into art.

This month, we explore the punk within — the version of you that resists neat boxes, challenges silence, and chooses expression over expectation. Whether you channel it through your clothes, your words, your work, or your worldview — punk is the permission slip to be loud, be bold, and be beautifully yourself.

So, grab your metaphorical (or literal) leather jacket. The revolution doesn’t need perfect — it just needs you.
