About the speaker

Peter Campbell is a collagist, illustrator, and tertiary educator with collage at the heart of his creative practice. His scissors and scalpel often serve as his paintbrush, and his ever-expanding collection of collage materials finds its way into both hand-rendered and digital works. Whether repurposing found imagery, layering textures, or experimenting with composition, he embraces the democratic accessibility of collage and the joyful surprises it brings.

An active member of the online collage community for over a decade, Peter's work has been featured in print publications by the Edinburgh Collage Collective and Kolaj Magazine.

Based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington, he collaborates with local and international clients, primarily in children's publishing, and has illustrated over 60 books. His work has been exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions across Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.
