Hear a beloved local artist reflect on how her work and creative vision have evolved over the decades.

A large, enthusiastic crowd turned out for Fort Worth artist Nancy Lamb. She showed us a wide sampling of her work, from her whimsical sculptures from the 1980s (“Everyone loves playing in the mud!”) to her vivid oil paintings of Fort Worth party people (“I remember that party. That was a great party.”) Driven to create, she was drawn to art at an early age and was determined to make a living at it. So she taught, explored various mediums over the years, and established a name for herself. “Our souls crave art,” she said. “I wish schools and governments would realize that.” Going forward, Nancy is thinking about exploring the potential of AI art. We can’t wait to see where her next journey takes her.
