About the speaker

Born and raised in Raleigh, NC, Miriam Reza is a graphic designer whose creative journey has been shaped by movement. From studying abroad in Greece and Prague to traveling through Europe and Latin America and later living in Miami and Salt Lake City, each place has expanded how she understands and approaches design. Miriam specializes in pitch decks and event graphics, helping startups and organizations translate complex ideas into compelling visual stories. Her work is rooted in the Arabic concept of niyyah—intention—a value passed down from her father, who grew up between Uganda and Britain.
That sense of purpose guides everything Miriam creates, from her senior thesis, a travel bag branded with the Greek word Meraki (to create with soul), to her work supporting global gatherings like ArtWithMe Miami, NFT NYC, and LIVE AI held at Duke and Harvard. Miriam founded her design business, Chymira, as a tribute to hybridity. Like the mythical chimera, Miriam's work blends cultures, mediums, and identities. As a modern nomad, Miriam has learned that constant movement can be grounding, when guided by creativity, curiosity, and intention.
