For a person who has been through more than her fair share of pain and suffering, Melanie Wilson is one of the brightest, more beautiful and memorable people in Fort Worth. As President and CEO of Cancer Care Services, she serves this community with her own iconic gift of compassion, kindness and knowing. She's a cancer survivor. Her husband, Dana, is a cancer survivor. Her daughter Lauren -- "Lala" -- did not survive. But Lala truly lives on, because her unmatched spirit, vivaciousness and love was so contagious, glowing and welcoming, she was a beacon of hope and resilience until the very day she passed.
