Megan Greenwood

Megan Greenwood is the owner of Greenwood Brewing, a woman-owned and self-funded brewing company in Phoenix, Arizona. She is an Industrial Engineer and started her career working in manufacturing facilities like Whirlpool, John Deere, and Eaton Corporation. She was always a beer-lover and received a brewery kit for her birthday in 2015. Her 5 gallon kit quickly turned into a microbrewery in her garage where she had 8 beers on tap! She has always been interested in beer, but even though she was brewing weekly, she felt that there was a gap in the brewing industry for people like her… a woman beer drinker. She decided to test this theory in 2017 renting space at a contract brewery to launch her flagship beer Herstory Brew, and the outcome was unexpected! Her beer is now in over 200 restaurants, bars, bottleshops and grocery stores throughout Arizona and her passion for manufacturing and beer married together as she opened her Brewery and Beer Garden in Downtown Phoenix in July of 2020. Greenwood’s slogan is the Power of the Purposeful Pint and the strong conversations that often happen over a craft beer, and Greenwood Brewery and Beer Garden aim to provide a space to have these important conversations.

Megan is originally from Iowa, graduated from the University of Iowa and moved to Arizona in 2012. She now lives in Phoenix with her with her husband and pup Kyra. Greenwood Brewery and Beer Garden has 13 beers on-tap, is located at 922 N 5th St. and opens at 11AM every day.
