About the speaker
We have our second installment of the CreativeMornings global theme ‘Art + Technology’ where Matt von Trott will be talking.
Matt is a digital director and partner at Assembly. He has a passion for good design, motion graphics, and animation and has put this to good use for high profile brands since 1996. Working with a wide range of digital media has given Matt a unique skill set to draw from. He brings this broad view to all his projects, and in a medium where many things are possible, Matt has the right experience to see the creative opportunities that might otherwise be missed.
This approach has seen Matt’s work gain critical acclaim in the form of healthy roster of awards including multiple gold Axis, gold Best (design) awards and a couple of FWA’s for good measure. This project combines the collective talents of musicians, dancers, programmers, designers and animators to create an amazing visual instrument.
Matt will be talking about Assembly Ltd’s latest creation, The V Motion Project. Creating music through motion is at the heart of this creation and uses the power of the Kinect to capture movement and translate it into music which is performed live and projected on a huge wall. Matt will be joined by Jeff Nusz, the technology genius on the V Motion Project.
Together they will give us an insight behind the technical magic-making that made this project happen.
