About the speaker

Prof. Ing. arch. Martin Rajniš is a Czech architect and urbanist and co-founder of Czech Chamber of Architects. He is one of Czech best renown architects and urbanist visionaries domestically and internationally and received the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture in 2014.

He founded the studio Architecture Guild (Huť architektury) which is specific in their work with mainly natural materials and searching for new solutions in architecture. Their buildings blend with nature: „Architecture is going through a crisis. It is necessary to create differently: instead of design and aesthetics we need to be inspired by the rules of nature, which is an unbelievable treasury of genius constructions, shapes, colors, systems and coincidences. It shows u show to live with mistakes and not to cause a catastrophe.“
