L’Asilo in Napoli as an experience

iven our hyper-competitive and precarious lives, commoning practices become a treasure, allowing a little but very concrete experiment of different relationships: sharing a material and immaterial resource in trust, openness, and solidarity. I will delve into the experience of l’Asilo in Napoli (www.exasilofilangieri.it), where art, politics, and law ensure the continuation of a collective heterogeneous initiative, based on the encounter of needs and desires.

About the speaker

EN: Maria Francesca De Tullio is post doc researcher in Constitutional Law (Federico II University of Naples) and she also worked at University of Antwerp, within the project Cultural and Creative Spaces and Cities (www.spacesandcities.com). She authored a book on "Substantial Equality and New Dimensions of Political Participation" and one on "Rights, Budget Constraints, Economic Recovery between Mirage and Reality". She is activist of l’Asilo (www.exasilofilangieri.it) as well as in Italian and European commons movements, with special reference to creative use of law. She is also a part of the Feministisation of Politics Collective (https://municipalisteurope.org/fop/).

IT: Maria Francesca De Tullio è ricercatrice in Diritto costituzionale all’Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. È stata ricercatrice post-doc presso l’Università di Antwerp nel progetto Cultural and Creative Spaces and Cities (www.spacesandcities.com) finanziato dall’UE nel programma Creative Europe. Inoltre, sta acquisendo competenze specifiche svolgendo il ruolo di esperta giuridica nel dialogo sui beni comuni tra movimenti di base e amministrazione in diverse città d’Italia. È attivista dell’Asilo (www.exasilofilangieri.it) e dei movimenti per i beni comuni italiani ed europei, con particolare riferimento all’uso creativo del diritto. Fa inoltre parte del Collettivo Femminilizzazione della Politica (https://municipalisteurope.org/fop/).

DE: Maria Francesca De Tullio ist Forscherin im Bereich Verfassungsrecht an der Universität Neapel Federico II. Sie war Postdoc an der Universität Antwerpen im Rahmen des von der EU finanzierten Projekts Cultural and Creative Spaces and Cities (www.spacesandcities.com) des Programms Creative Europe. Darüber hinaus erwirbt sie spezifisches Fachwissen, indem sie als Rechtsexpertin im Dialog über Gemeingüter zwischen Basisbewegungen und der Verwaltung in mehreren Städten Italiens agiert. Sie ist Aktivistin des Asilo (www.exasilofilangieri.it) und der italienischen und europäischen Gemeingüter-Bewegungen, wobei ihr Schwerpunkt auf der kreativen Nutzung des Rechts liegt. Außerdem ist sie Mitglied des europäischen Kollektivs Feministisation of Politics (https://municipalisteurope.org/fop/).
