Lokesh Sridhar

Studio A by Amar Ramesh

part of a series on Revival

About the speaker

Lokesh — one of our own — who once was a kid around the block, now helps shape the ecosystem in ways both seen and quietly felt. He is the co-founder of Anteak Woods, a woodworking studio where he reclaims, restores, and repurposes antiques, and creates bespoke furniture and wooden artefacts.

What led Lokesh to walk the lesser-known path of reviving traditional craftsmanship was his prior experience as a program lead at Carbon Impact Capital, where he contributed to sustainability-focused initiatives aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

From partnering with heritage homes and architects to opening his studio to learning experiences, Lokesh’s work goes beyond furniture. It’s about ecosystems — both social and cultural.

A former professional tennis player, Lokesh still teaches the sport. And when he’s not working or on the court, you’ll often find him surrounded by a revolving crew of four-legged friends — both at home and at the workshop (sometimes outnumbering the humans!).
