Lisa Groshong

Lisa Groshong, Como Craftcycle Collective's co-founder and first official employee, is a lifelong sewist, crafter, and scavenger who has always enjoyed the challenge and satisfaction of upcycling discarded materials.

She was especially inspired by the thrifty creativity of artisans she met while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia. She holds a PhD in Natural Resources from the University of Missouri and most recently worked in consumer insights research.
