Lexx Francis

The Jasper Hotel

part of a series on Pride

About the speaker

Lexx Francis (they/them) has lived for a quarter of century at varying degrees of Blk/indigenous/queer and have found it difficult in the world to find leaders that look like them at all, so they strive to become the leader they always wished they could look up to. Grew up between the F/M Area and KCMO. They studied Theatre Arts and Communication at MSU Moorhead for about 5 years with plans to finish school this coming Fall/Spring at NDSU.
They spent the last 7 years between training with theatrical development, local community theater productions, helping curate passion projects and the last two working/co-owning an anarchist coffee shop and have begun to dedicate time into solidarity and community building with those that find themselves on multiple intersections.
They have a deep passion for performance and how it can enlighten, engage, and inspire audiences as well as performers to understand worlds they might never get the chance to
experience.
They are a writer, poet, and performer.
They are a community member, empath, and lover of humanity. They are a human being who cares about the people the world dehumanizes for the color of their skin, the people they love,
or even the person they are.
