Lucas O'Keefe

Content Creator at Understanding Social Media.

Toronto, ON, Canada

I am a content creator, elementary school teacher, and social media influencer from Toronto, Canada. Education is at the forefront of everything I do: whether it’s teaching my students in the classroom or helping business owners and entrepreneurs grow their social media presence through engaging content, I love to do it all!

About this FieldTrip

Ready to enter the New Year with a consistent and stress-free social media presence?

In this session, Lucas will show you his process for planning a whole month of social media content. But that’s not all, bring along your own calendar/day planner and you’ll be completing your own social media content plan too! Come ready to brainstorm and take a whole lot of work off your plate for the remainder of the month!

During this FieldTip, Lucas will plot out his month of social media content digitally for all to see, with some help from Adobe Express and his content calendar which he’ll be sharing for all attendees! You’re also invited to bring along your own calendar/journal/day planner if you’d like to use that for the process too.

You’ll learn all about why it’s important to have a balanced social media strategy that can save you time and increase audience reach and engagement!

NEED SOME INSPO?

Don’t worry about hitting any creative barriers either because Lucas has provided this calendar which plots out the entire year of social media content all in alignment with the strategies he’ll share during the FieldTrip. You’ll get this huge source of ideas and also learn exactly how to use it with some great examples of the content Lucas makes in Adobe Express.

⭐️ This FieldTrip is part of our Level Up Series with Adobe!

Agenda

  • We’ll begin with a goal-setting session to lock down what you’re trying to accomplish through social media for the month. We’ll break down some of the common goals content creators have as well as inspire you to create your own.

  • From there, we’ll each brainstorm 3-5 content pillars that will help you organise a wholesome content strategy that aligns with your social media goals.

  • Next, we’ll fill out our calendars for the month by plotting an assortment of these content pillars across each week so we know how many content topics to brainstorm.

  • Then, we’ll dive into a brainstorm session as we plan the specific topics we want to cover for each planned post on our calendar.

  • You’ll come away with a planned month of content ideas, some tips for creating content FAST, and some content hook templates for when you need a little help.

What to know or bring

  • All you need is a pen/pencil and your own monthly calendar or day planner if you want to plot out your own month of content as you participate in the FieldTrip.

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
