About this FieldTrip

You already took the photo — now let’s make it shine!

In this session, we’ll use Lightroom to enhance existing images with simple edits that elevate colour, light, and mood without overcomplicating the process.

Level Up badge ⭐️ This FieldTrip is part of our Level Up Series with Adobe!

This FieldTrip is a part of Level Up, a series of FieldTrips and resources designed to help you grow, gain confidence, and take meaningful next steps in your creative career. This series is made possible by CreativeMornings’ global partnership with Adobe. Learn more about the program and upcoming FieldTrips and check out more ways to Level Up.

Agenda

  • We’ll start with a simple walkthrough of some of Lightroom’s most powerful editing tools — like white balance, clarity, vibrance vs. saturation, colour temperature, and grain — and see how even small adjustments can transform a photo you’ve already taken.

  • From there, we’ll explore presets and how they can help you discover and refine your own editing style. You’ll learn how to save the looks you love so you can build a style that feels uniquely yours.

  • We’ll also experiment with a few of Lightroom’s AI-powered tools, like Denoise and Adaptive Masks, to see how they can quickly enhance an image while keeping your workflow simple.

  • Finally, we’ll dive into the Lightroom Community and the Remix feature, where photographers share their images for others to edit. It’s a fun way to practice on new photos, see how others approach the same image, and continue developing your creative eye.

What to know or bring

  • Bring your phone with Lightroom Mobile (it's free!) downloaded if you want to follow along, or you're welcome to use Lightroom on your computer.

  • Nicole will be sharing features in Adobe Lightroom. FieldTrippers are welcome to join by opening Lightroom, using Lightroom Mobile on their phone, or can just take notes and apply their learnings later.

What to expect

Workshop format!

A hands-on session where participants get to build, craft, or create something tangible.

It will be recorded!

The recording will be shared within 24 hours in the follow up email for a 30-day window, and available at the top of this page. Make sure to register for access!

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
