About this FieldTrip

Let’s get back in touch with our childlike sense of wonder, and create a mini zine to celebrate the fact that wonder can be an almost daily experience.

Wonder is a great way to step into the present moment and find a bit of positivity and connection in what can sometimes feel a heavy and confusing world. In this session, we will get in touch with our sense of wonder, and then create a one page mini zine that celebrates everyday wonders.

My hope is that by the end of the session, you will have had a chance to play a bit, get in touch with some childlike wonder and walk away with a mini zine that can remind you to search for wonder even on the hard days.

Agenda

  • In this session we will begin by exploring wonder as a concept as well as getting quiet and connecting to our own sense of wonder.

  • Then will then go on a wonder hunt! We will do some journaling and ideation to find moments of wonder in our everyday and to collect moments where wonder could be hiding in plain site. 

  • Finally we will use this content to make a mini one page zine to celebrate the wonder of wonder and capture ways to access wonder in our everyday. 

What to know or bring

  • some paper and pen to journal 

  • a plain sheet of A4 Paper

  •  any art of collage materials that you like 

  • a pair of scissors if you have them

Workshop format!

A hands-on session where participants get to build, craft, or create something tangible.

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going! 

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.
