About the speaker

Katie Nahab is a multidisciplinary creative whose journey spans from the classroom to the global stage of children’s entertainment. As a Creative Executive and songwriter at Moonbug Entertainment, she helps shape the stories and music behind CoComelon, one of the world’s most-watched children’s series. She's also an independent children’s book author and illustrator, bringing heartfelt stories to life through her art and imagination.

But before all of that, Katie was also an art teacher—one who made fine art feel personal, alive, and full of possibility. (She even taught our chapter host!) Her creative journey hasn’t followed a straight path. Instead, Katie describes her life as a series of “dream deaths”—times when she had to let go of what she thought life would look like, only to discover something deeper and more meaningful waiting on the other side. Rooted in her faith, Katie has adopted a phoenix-like mindset: every setback, every closed door, every ending has been an invitation to begin again.

At this month’s CreativeMornings Orange County on the theme of Revival, Katie will share how she’s learned to embrace the beauty of reinvention, and how surrendering to the unexpected has sparked some of her most creative and personal breakthroughs.
