Rituals for Resilience In this talk, I will join personal psychological resilience with another important form of resilience, which can have a great impact on a company: team resilience. Team resilience relates to the capacity of a group of people to overcome conflicts, withstand external pressure and forge a single team out of individual personalities. Teams also need to heal and renew when individuals leave and enter the team by building trust as well as finding and fostering new skills.
All these processes rely on a healthy “social structure” to be successful, and motivate people both for their job and their role in the team. In this talk, the most important element of social structure is rituals. Rituals can help people to simply switch from their private role into a work role. They can also help share inspiration and explore each individual’s motivation behind their work profile and role in the team or company.
But what are good rituals? Who initiates them and what’s the social mechanisms behind them? Let’s talk about it.
