About the speaker

Jonathan Rodgers is a Nashville-based photographer and recipient of the Tennessee Arts Commission’s Individual Artist Fellowship in Photography. His creative journey began with a darkroom in his childhood home, threading together experiences in visual storytelling, including work in Uganda, Haiti, and with National Geographic in Guatemala. Rodgers holds a Bachelor of Music in cello from Vanderbilt and has taught photography at his alma mater. Now fully immersed in fine art photography, he’s known for his surrealist-inspired, multi-exposure images. Rodgers “threads” his photographs into everyday life with his shower curtain label, making his large-format, 6x6-foot works accessible as striking home decor.
