For all its promise, why isn’t compassion our singular, steadying, global ethos?
Almost every spiritual tradition teaches it, celebrates it, prays for it. And yet… most actions appear born of other motivations. This even though today’s growing interest in compassion has led to new research, as well as individuals, organizations, and even whole democracies advocating greater practice of compassion.
Together, let’s explore compassion, including the rate limiting factors that keep us from more often beginning with it. I believe a simple, possibly surprising, perspective shift might help each of us with compassion.
